The measurement of water vapor, how we discuss the presence of water vapor in the Earth’s atmosphere is not understood well by most people. I can say this as I get to grade the homework of people seeking a college education. Most of these individual try hard to explain such things as “humidity” and “dew point.” Honestly, these people struggle with these assignments and they are pursuing a college education, something about 66% of the United States population does not succeed at. My point is, if people wanting a college education have problems understanding atmospheric moisture, the general population probably struggles, too.

Moisture in the Earth’s atmosphere is one of the fundamental elements driving global climates, weather systems, and weather phenomenon. The presence of water vapor, how the proportion of water vapor changes over time, with location, and over seasons, is a basic influence on Earth’s global climate.
